Beyond Healthy Teeth

Understanding Your Health Through Nutrition and Inflammation

30 minutes | $155 | Available exclusively at Eve Dental Macquarie Park through Sagely Clinic

Eve Dental is pleased to welcome Kathryn Khiroya, nutritionist and founder of Sagely Clinic, who is now consulting from our Macquarie Park clinic.

Kathryn is offering a new Dental Nutrition Health Screen, designed to help patients better understand the connection between nutrition, inflammation and oral health.

Your oral health is influenced by more than brushing and flossing. By combining nutritional assessment with dental care, the Dental–Nutrition Health Screen provides insight into an important nutritional factor associated with inflammation and offers personalised guidance to support both oral and overall health.

Many people are surprised to learn that persistent gum inflammation, delayed healing and recurrent oral infections may be influenced by factors beyond oral hygiene alone. Nutrition can play an important role in supporting the body’s inflammatory response, tissue repair and general wellbeing.

One nutritional marker of interest is the balance between Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids. When this balance is less than optimal, the body’s ability to regulate and resolve inflammation may be affected.

As part of the Dental–Nutrition Health Screen, a simple finger-prick blood spot test is used to measure your Omega-3 Index and assess 11 key fatty acids. The test can be completed in the clinic or at home and provides a personalised snapshot of your current fatty acid profile.

Your results are then reviewed with Kathryn, who will explain them in clear, practical terms and discuss evidence-informed dietary strategies that may help optimise your nutritional status and support your oral and general health.

This service includes:

  • A 30-minute consultation with Kathryn Khiroya of Sagely Clinic

  • An Omega-3 Index blood spot test

  • In-clinic or at-home sample collection

  • Personalised interpretation of your fatty acid profile

  • Practical nutrition recommendations based on your results
